Meri Brown is finding humor in enlisting ex Kody Brown to help her move out of state on their wedding anniversary.
“Hey, I got a bomb to drop. Do you know what today is?” Meri, 53, asks Kody, 55, in Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek at the Sunday, November 24, episode of Sister Wives.
Kody, for his part, says he’s aware of the date before he tells Meri’s brother-in-law, “It’s our anniversary.” Meri quickly points out, “It’s not anymore!
Her brother-in-law jokes, “Is that why you wore the ‘karma’ shirt?” referring to Meri’s T-shirt that reads, “I saw that. – Karma.”

Meri doesn’t skip a beat, replying, “I mean, karma’s a bitch.” Both Meri and Kody laugh together and then jump back into packing up her Arizona house.
“I wonder if she picked this day on purpose,” Kody says in a confessional, smiling over the awkwardness.
Meri, however, insists, “This was not planned. This was not intentional.” She tells the cameras, “Today would have been mine and Kody’s 33rd anniversary. It’s almost like it’s God, the universe, whatever, [is] like, ‘You have done your time. Move on.’”
As Meri continues to box up her things for her move to Utah, she notes that she’s no longer holding back her true feelings.
“I’m just laying the cards out on the table. This is who I am,” she says. “It doesn’t matter anymore. We’re not married.”
Kody, meanwhile, tells the cameras that although he has “mixed” feelings on Meri leaving Arizona, he’s “very glad” he can be there to help.

Despite their ups and downs, Kody and Meri work together in Sunday’s episode to move forward. Meri, however, reveals that holding onto the bed they bought for their Las Vegas house is something she’s not interested in.
“Kody hasn’t slept in this bed with me for many, many years. I’m not going to take it into the next phase of my life,” she tells the camera in Us’ first look at the episode. “I don’t intend to be single the rest of my life. And I’m not going to be like, ‘Here, look, this is my bed that I had with my ex.’ That would just be weird.”
