Taylor Swift skips Travis Kelce and Chiefs’ game in Buffalo – despite only being a 40-minute flight away

Taylor Swift is still yet to make her first Chiefs road trip of the season after appearing to skip Travis Kelce and Kansas City’s game against the Buffalo Bills.

Swift was expected to make it to Highmark Stadium on Sunday to watch the back-to-back Super Bowl champions in their toughest test of the season so far against a Josh Allen-led Bills.

With her worldwide Eras Tour not due to resume in Toronto until Thursday, it seemed the pop megastar was free to make the 100-mile trip to Buffalo.

Though despite the fact she could have got there in around 40 minutes via private jet, Swift is nowhere to be seen at the game after kickoff at Highmark.

She has only made it to Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on Kelce so far this year, watching on from the stands as they secured wins over the Ravens, Bengals, Saints, Buccaneers and Broncos.

Swift was at Highmark Stadium to support her boyfriend 10 months ago, when she saw the Chiefs edge a Divisional Round thriller there back in January.

Yet it has been claimed in the lead-up to Sunday’s game that she did not enjoy that experience, which could explain her absence this time around.

She was joined on the night by Travis’ brother Jason, who was seen shirtless and chugging beers in the stands, and his wife Kylie, as well as his mom Donna and dad Ed.

However, while she was seen wildly celebrating Kansas City’s dramatic win over Buffalo that night, Swift and the Kelce crew were allegedly ‘shocked’ at the negative reception they received at the game.

According to Turner Sports’ Adam Lefkoe, Kelce’s friends and family at the game did not enjoy their road trip to Highmark Stadium.

‘I have heard from people very close that it was not a great experience in Buffalo,’ Lefkoe told Kay Adams on her ‘Up and Adams’ show. ‘It was not. For all parties involved… And I’m talking about the most famous of all the parties.

‘I think that it kind of shocked the Kelce family and everyone related to the Kelce family the reception they got. I think they were kind of going in being like, “This is going to be an amazing game with good energy.” And they got there and they experienced Bills Mafia in full form, in its complete ruthlessness.

‘And I think they left and went, “I don’t know if I want to experience that again.” It was that kind of a level of crazy.’

Swift is nearing the end of her Eras Tour almost two years since kicking it off in Glendale, Arizona back in March 2023.

After three more shows in Toronto next weekend, the songstress will bring it to a close with three final concerts in Vancouver from December 6-8.

Swift will also be free to celebrate Thanksgiving with Kelce and his family next week.

Nevertheless, Donna Kelce has revealed that her family does not have a big dinner planned, meaning she may have to fend elsewhere for the holiday meal.

The lack of a feast in the Kelce household is because the Chiefs are due to play on Black Friday against the Las Vegas Raiders.

‘I am going to be at a football game. Travis is playing the day after Thanksgiving. You know, football is always the holidays. It’s football’s family,’ Donna said on ‘TODAY’.

‘Not that anything’s planned. I think we’re just going to be at the football game.’
