Elle Macpherson was spotted looking lovely and radiant in New York City on Friday. 

The 60-year-old Australian supermodel wore a long camel-colored cashmere overcoat over a white blouse and flowing pants.

Elle — who recently sold her Florida mansion for $18.5 million — wore her highlighted light brown hair straight and added aviator shades and a taupe handbag to her look.

Elle, who was referred to as The Body during the height of her modeling career, is making the rounds to promote her new memoir, Elle. 

In the memoir, she details her downward spiral into alcohol addiction, revealing that after she put her kids to bed she would down sH๏τs of vodka.

‘I was in a horrible downward spiral. Often, I would drink after I put my children to bed. I would sit down by myself and have sH๏τs of vodka…’ she wrote, per The Today Show.

Elle has two sons — Flynn, 26, and Cy, 21 — whom she shares with her former longtime partner Arpad Busson, who she was with from 1997 to 2005.

Her alcohol addiction led her to check into rehab, and in September the beauty celebrated 20 years of sobriety.  

‘It’s not just drinking, we can be addicted to fear, we can be addicted to drama… we can have emotional relationships when we don’t really want to,’ she said on the Today Show.

‘It’s about really addressing those things that are behind the addiction… The addiction is just the symptoms. And for me, drinking was just behind the symptoms of those things.’ 

Overcoming her addiction to alcohol and awakening about addiction led her to take a holistic approach when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017, which she details in her memoir.

‘Saying no to standard medical solutions was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. But saying no to my own inner sense would have been harder,’ she wrote.

The supermodel shocked fans when she revealed she had refused to accept traditional treatment, in favor of an ‘intuitive, heart-led, holistic approach.’

Following the release of her memoir in September, Elle received backlash for ‘dangerously’ promoting the holistic treatment she received during her battle with the insidious and life-threatening disease.

Elle went against the advice of 32 doctors by refusing chemotherapy after undergoing a lumpectomy for HER2 positive estrogen receptive intraductal carcinoma.

‘I was in a horrible downward spiral. Often, I would drink after I put my children to bed. I would sit down by myself and have sH๏τs of vodka…’ she wrote, per The Today Show

She underwent eight months of intense therapy with doctors in Phoenix, Arizona, taking a holistic route.

Speaking about how she felt at the time, she said: It was a shock, it was unexpected, it was confusing, it was daunting in so many ways. And it really gave me an opportunity to dig deep in my inner sense to find a solution that worked for me…

‘I realized I was going to need my own truth, my belief system to support me through it. And that’s what I did. So, it was a wonderful exercise in being true to myself, trusting myself and trusting the nature of my body, and the course of action I had chosen.’

Elle is currently in remission from her cancer.
