A Netflix movie about a Sєxy snowman has earned a better Rotten Tomatoes score than Hollywood’s most enduring classics.
H๏τ Frosty, a comedy about a widow who finds love again after bringing a beautiful snowman to life with a magic scarf, got a 100% rating on the review aggregate.
Its perfect score is higher than that of either Citizen Kane, which is hovering just behind at 99%, or The Godfather, which is currently at 97%.
Online observers were left in shock, including the movie’s own writer Russell Hainline, who shared his reaction on X, formerly Twitter.
He marveled: ‘um… holy s***. H๏τ FROSTY is 100% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes,’ then joked: ‘take that, THE GODFATHER!!!’

Rotten Tomatoes currently has Gone With The Wind at 90%, Lawrence Of Arabia at 93%, It’s A Wonderful Life at 94%, Psycho at 97% and All About Eve at 99% – all of them trailing behind H๏τ Frosty.
The Christmas comedy bowed on Netflix this Wednesday and currently has 11 reviews posted on its own Rotten Tomatoes page.
One critic described the movie as ‘goofy and sweet and magical,’ adding: ‘It knows exactly who its audience is and gifts them with a perfectly cozy Capra-esque fantasy,’ in an article for RogerEbert.com.
‘A self-aware Christmas rom-com with calculated “shirtless moments,” H๏τ Frosty is frothy entertainment that isn’t supposed to be taken seriously,’ noted IGN Movies.
Another critic joked that the premise could inspire one of two responses: ‘How dumb!’ and ‘How dumb – can’t wait to watch!’ in the New York Times.
A critic praised the film for serving ‘its target audience’s yearning for a sprinkling of cheeky, wanton lust alongside its gentle yet genuine dramatics,’ in Variety.
‘H๏τ Frosty offers a refreshing twist on the holiday romantic comedy genre, blending cheeky humor with emotional depth to create a genuinely heartwarming film,’ gushed the review in the Times Of India.
The movie features a sizzling ɴuᴅᴇ scene for the тιтle character – and Dustin has now candidly discussed the experience of filming the saucy moment.

‘I was obviously very exposed during all of that, but in a way, doing what I could to just shed all of my own inhibitions and be liberated as Jack would have been in that moment. It was liberating for me!’ he told Variety.
Lacey explained that the storyline ‘doesn’t take itself too seriously, and the characters within the movie are in on the joke in a way.’
The former child star, who acted on Broadway at age nine, said: ‘When I opened the script, it was only a couple pages in where I realized: Oh, wait a second, this movie has a lot of heart, and it’s really romantic and it’s really funny.’
Meanwhile Dustin teased: ‘One of the strengths is that it very much presents as though it’s going to be one thing, and then it tricks you. It’s a Christmas trick, and it gives you the best gift of all, which is a sense of joy.’
