Deal Or No Deal viewers have called out the show after spotting a clue that the selection process isn’t as random as it appears.
Each episode, a group of contestants join host Stephen Mulhern on the ITV show, with each hoping they’ll be chosen for the chance to bag the huge £100,000 cash prize.
The show sees their names put up on a big screen, with one contestant selected at random to face the Banker in that episode.
However, fans have questioned the authenticity of the process after they spotted a key clue which suggested that the random selection is ‘fake’.
Eagle-eyed watchers have noticed that the chosen contestant’s family and friends are always conveniently sitting right behind them in the front row of the audience.
Throughout the episode, a player would often consult their loved ones for advice and support, with the friends and family often helping them make big decisions – so it’s vital that they are sitting close by.

But this had led to fans questioning whether the selection is therefore staged, with many rushing to X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice their thoughts.
They penned: ‘Just wondering if it’s a surprise who‘s playing how come their family/friends are there’
‘Why do the #DealOrNoDeal contestants act shocked when their names picked out to play when a relative is sitting in the audience? , or is the audience made up of loads of relatives of the contestants?’
‘#DealOrNoDeal silly question, but if it is a surprise which contestant is picked, how is their family member always in the right place in the audience?’
‘If contestant is chosen at random, how come friends/family are already there and front row?’; ‘You can tell it’s all fake…cos pretty much every contestant all act the same way.’
Airing on ITV1 and ITVX, the programme sees contestants battle it out against the notorious Banker to be in with a chance of winning a life-changing cash prize, in a nail-biting game of nerves and intuition.
Each week, a contestant will be confronted with 22 sealed boxes, each one hiding a different amount of money.
Without knowing what each one contains, the player must eliminate the boxes, which are opened one at a time to reveal the amount of money inside.

Pressure mounts as the player is tempted by the notorious Banker to accept an offer of cash in exchange for what might be inside their box.
As long as the larger cash prizes remain unchosen, the Banker’s offers will get higher. But that can all change in an instant if a big cash prize is unveiled.
It comes after Deal Or No Deal fans insisted the show ‘doesn’t work anymore’ as they blasted ITV bosses for making a major change.
The hugely popular British gameshow first aired from 2005 to 2016 on Channel 4 and was fronted by Noel Edmonds.
After seven years off air, the programme was revived by ITV, with its launch episode airing in November last year with Stephen Mulhern at the helm.
This had led to fans questioning whether the selection is therefore staged, with many rushing to X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice their thoughts
Deal Or No Deal, which originally ran for 11 series, started with a jackpot prize of £250,000, which was won by nine contestants upon opening the famous red boxes.
However, when the show returned there was one noticeable difference – the jackpot prize had been lowered from a quarter of a million to £100,000.
But that’s not all, as viewers also noticed the higher amounts of money available, which appear on the red side of the board, are all considerably lower.
Taking to discussion site Reddit, user Educational-Angle717 argued that the show ‘doesn’t work anymore’ because of this, explaining that the old show reds were £1k, £3k, £5k, £10k, £15k, £20k, £35k, £50k, £75k, £100k, and £250k.
In contrast, the new reds are £1k, £2k, £3k, £4k, £5k, £7.5k, £10k, £25k, £50k, £75k, and £100k.
The forum poster added: ‘What this means is your chances of actually going away with any decent money are now incredibly limited.

‘The bulk of the offers seem to be around £1-3k max. They’ve lost a lot of the real jeopardy in it.’
It’s also been noted by viewers that the lower prize pots across multiple shows are likely due to budget cuts.
Which leads Deal Or No Deal viewers to believe that the show is now ‘failing’.
Organic-Daydream agreed that ‘you need the big money to make it even mildly interesting’, citing the likes of Tipping Point as an example, where the jackpot is £10,000.
