John Krasinski, People’s newly crowned Sєxiest Man Alive, has nothing but gushing praise for his wife Emily Blunt. 

The Office star, 45, had a good chuckle over the honor but got serious about how much he loves his wife, saying that it was love at first sight.

‘The second I met her? I don’t know what happened, but I remember someone introduced us, and it was across a room in a restaurant, and I walked over to her,’ the actor told People. ‘And as soon as I shook her hand, I just knew.’

The working actors are parents to daughters, Hazel, 10, and Violet, eight, and he shared that they try to prioritize family time amid their busy schedules.

‘You never want to work at the same time because it’s not only important to be there for the kids. It’s important for us because I think it keeps us completely and totally centered,’ Krasinski explained.

‘Listen, it’s a juggle when you’re traveling around the world, but luckily we’ve got great kids and great friends and family who allow us to, when we travel, bring the whole circus with us.’

The couple worked together for the first time on 2018’s A Quiet Place and Krasinski admitted he was terrified about that experience.

They had never worked together before.

‘I remember the night before [production began], genuinely, we were heading to bed and she turned to me and she said, “Are you scared?” And I went, “Terrified.” 

‘She went, “Oh, thank God. Me too.” And I thought that was a really good way to go into it, rather than faking it and pretending.’

But it all turned out well and that film sparked two sequels. 

‘Having her trust and having her talent in that movie is the core reason why the movie is successful. So it was awesome,’ he added.

The couple make date nights a priority to stay grounded in their marriage.

‘We love going out to a dinner, just getting out,’ Krasinski said. ‘The kids will ask, ‘What? You’re going out?” And it’s like, “Yeah, it’s the first time in four months. Thanks.” 

‘When we go out on a date, it’s usually dinner and catching up. Because weirdly, that’s the thing that you don’t always get a chance to do,’ he said.

The IF star also shared the secret to his 14 year marriage to The Devil Wears Prada star, 41.

‘It’s that beautiful thing where when you’re married to someone, you’re constantly learning and changing and evolving,’ he said. 

 ‘And I’m so lucky to go through all that with her,’ he gushed. Krasinski said Blunt was ‘very excited’ when she heard the news.

The Fall Guy actress joked that if he was ever named Sєxiest Man Alive she would wallpaper the house with the cover.

‘Do we have that on camera? Because that’s like a binding contract, I think,’ he said. ‘My children will love that, it won’t be weird at all.’

John thought he was ‘being punked’ when he found out he won the 2024 тιтle.

‘That’s not how I wake up, thinking, “Is this the day that I’ll be asked to be Sєxiest Man Alive?” 

‘And yet it was the day you guys did it. You guys have really raised the bar for me,’ he told People in the cover story.

The heartthrob dethroned the 2023 winner – something fans are divided over –Grey’s Anatomy hunk Patrick Dempsey, 58, for the coveted тιтle.
