A pregnant Princess Beatrice has stepped in for King Charles III at a recent event.
Beatrice, 36, was spotted attending The King’s Foundation’s Future Textiles exhibition in London on Tuesday, November 12, and met with the foundation’s executives and several students. The royal family member kept it casual while showing off her baby bump in a black dress paired with a trench coat.
This is the first time that Beatrice has been ᴀssociated with this organization, according to Hello! Magazine.
While Charles, 75, himself was not in attendance, his mark on the foundation was evident. It’s been nearly a decade since Charles launched the Future Textiles program at Dumfries House in Scotland to “help address a skills gap within the UK fashion and textiles industry through education and training.” This is just one initiative he has taken with The King’s Foundation (formerly The Prince’s Foundation), which was formed in 1990.
This is not the first time that Beatrice has stepped in for the monarch, or other senior members of the royal family, in recent months. Prince William and Charles leaned on Beatrice when it came to attending events earlier this year amid the royal family’s various health crises. (Both Charles and Princess Kate Middleton were diagnosed with cancer.)
