Kerry Katona has shared a worrying health update on her seriously unwell mother Sue, admitting her ‘body isn’t coping when her oxygen is removed’.
The former Atomic Kitten star, 44, recently revealed that Sue was rushed to hospital when she ‘nearly died twice’ and even broke her back.
Kerry said it has been ‘a particularly difficult few fays’ as she updated fans in her New! magazine column this week.
She wrote: ‘It’s been a busy week for me, taking care of mum and making sure I still spend time with my family.
‘I’ve been staying at mum’s home to look after her cat but I knew the kids were missing me, so I made sure to spend time with them on Bonfire Night.

She added: ‘She’s been moved from a private pod to a ward, which is a good sign, but her body isn’t coping if they remove the oxygen. We just need to take one step at a time – but it’s been a particularly difficult few days.’
The TV personality recently confirmed Sue had suffered blood clots among her other health issues as she spoke candidly about the ’emotional’ time.
She said: ‘I’ve had a very challenging week visiting my mum in hospital every day.
‘She’s suffering from blood clots and other health issues and I’ve cancelled all of my work to focus on looking after her. It’s been an emotional week.
‘I’d usually do something with the kids for Bonfire Night, but it really depends on how my mum is doing.
‘I don’t want to make any plans as my routine is all so dependent on her. Please send all your prayers to us.’
Kerry shared a heartfelt clip with her Instagram followers on Sunday as she explained Sue was on the road to recovery.
Sat at Sue’s hospital bedside, Kerry and her mum told her fans that she had broke her back ‘years ago’ but doesn’t know how.

Filming a clip for social media, her mum said: ‘Well, after everything they told me and me being really really poorly, I died nearly, twice, I have broke me back.
‘And I don’t know how, but apparently it was years ago.’
Kerry then went on to explain ‘it wasn’t years ago’ but she had broke her back.
The singer then revealed that her mum ‘frustrates her’ because she had been asking he to go to hospital for some time.
Her heartfelt update comes after she revealed that her mum had been rushed to hospital after doctors found blood clots in her lungs.
And sharing a video from her mum’s hospital bed on Monday, Kerry admitted she ‘saved her mum’s life’ as Sue confessed she ‘would have been ᴅᴇᴀᴅ’ if her daughter hadn’t brought her in.
Showing fans the extensive bruises on her mum’s arms, Sue told the camera: ‘I am not well. I have got a temperature, look at my arm. I’m sick of it.’
Kerry then asked her: ‘What did the say would have happened to you if I hadn’t have brought you?’

Her mum replied: ‘I would have been ᴅᴇᴀᴅ Thursday night. That’s it I would have been ᴅᴇᴀᴅ.’
‘She’s not out the woods yet,’ added Kerry, before her mum added: ‘Put it this way she saved my life, literally.’
Kerry then joked: ‘See it’s what happens when you watch loads of Grey’s Anatomy’.
On Sunday night the reality star took to Instagram to ask fans to pray for her mother after a scary 24 hours.
The star explained that she hadn’t been to bed in more than 24 hours and was exhausted but wanted to be close to the hospital.
She apologised for ignoring work calls and added it had been a ‘rough’ time while doctors took care of her mother.
In the video she said: ‘Hi everybody, please excuse the state of me, I haven’t been to bed since 3am not this morning, the day before. I’ve taken my mum into hospital, we’ve had no sleep.
‘For those of you who are aware, thankyou all so very much for the messages. The hospital found clots on my mum’s lungs, she’s not in a good way. It’s been a rough over 24 hours.

‘I need to get some sleep so I can get back to the hospital, so I can be there for my mum.

She said: ‘My earliest memory is watching my mum slit her wrists. I was three. She was manic-depressive and self-harmed until I was 15. That’s just the way my life is. I’ve come so far from being a foster kid growing up in a council house.’
