Cristiano Ronaldo was every inch the doting dad as he posed for a selfie with his lookalike daughter Alana to celebrate her seventh birthday on Tuesday.

The footballing legend, 39, shared a heartfelt message with his 642 million Instagram followers, as he celebrated the youngster’s milestone.

In Spanish, he gushed in the caption: ‘7 years of my princess❤️Happy birthday my love!’

The rare family snap saw the sports star take a rare break from his usual career-focused posts to take the snap with his daughter, who he shares with his girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez.

He smiled for the pH๏τo next to the birthday girl, who was wearing a pastel knitted sweater and matching headband for her big day.

On Monday, she penned: ‘Preparing the piñata for tomorrow,’ next to a picture of the youngsters’ piling sweets into plastic bags to put inside the party feature.

She followed up with pH๏τos on Tuesday of Alana’s birthday breakfast made up of a selection of churros, before the kids enjoyed some party games and bracelet making.

Georgina later added another snap of the food, this time what looks like chopped up chorizo.

Ronaldo’s oldest son Cristiano Jnr, now 14, was born in the United States in 2010 but immediately taken back to Madrid to be raised in Spain. The idenтιтy of his mother is unknown.

In June 2017, the Real Madrid star then surprised fans with the news he’d welcomed twins Eva and Mateo through a surrogate.

Just one month later he and model Georgina announced they were expecting their first child together – Alana, who was born on November 12, 2017.

Alana’s birthday celebrations come just after her mother Georgina revealed that she recently spent four days in hospital with pneumonia.

In October, she shared a health update on her Instagram story which explained the news.

She said: ‘Finally back home! I spent four days in the hospital with pneumonia, I’m better now but still recovering at home with my family.

‘I have to say a big THANK YOU to all the staff members, doctors, nurses and everyone at the hospital… they took care of me so wonderfully and I am very grateful for that. Thank you all for such a great stay.’

The Sun reported that Rodriguez was admitted to Saudi German Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where she is based with Ronaldo.

The influencer and model has been with the Portuguese superstar since 2016 after they met at a Gucci retail store in Madrid.

During Rodriguez’s time in hospital, Ronaldo played two games for Al-Nᴀssr, scoring in a 2-1 Saudi Pro League victory over Al-Shabab last Friday, before his side won 1-0 against Iranian outfit Esteghlal in the AFC Champions League on Tuesday.

When Ronaldo joined Al-Nᴀssr in January 2023, it was reported that alongside Rodriguez, they were given permission by the rulers of the kingdom to live together.

This was an exception to the rule that unmarried couples are not allowed to live together in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, speaking in the latest season of her hit Netflix reality show, ‘I Am Georgina’, Rodriguez revealed how elated she was once she learned Ronaldo was moving to the Middle East at the end of 2022.

‘When Cris told me he was going to play for Al-Nᴀssr, I was so relieved because I really wanted to leave Manchester,’ Rodriguez said.

Rodriguez added: ‘I knew something big was waiting for us and we were highly motivated. I was very happy to come to Saudi Arabia’.

However, the couple and their kids’ transition to life in Saudi Arabia was not smooth sailing.

‘It all happened so quickly,’ Rodriguez said. ‘At the beginning, I had some ups and downs because we had never lived in a H๏τel for so long. There were days when I didn’t want anyone to see me, but overall, I was very excited.’

It follows the news that Georgina and her sister, Ivana, have hinted at a family feud as the former WAG has reportedly removed all traces of her sibling from social media.

The Spanish outlet has suggested that there is some tension between the two despite Ivana keeping pictures of Georgina on her grid.

And despite the reports of their possible feud, the reasons why are not yet known.

The rumours are believed to have first started brewing when Ivana was barely seen throughout the second season of Georgina’s Netflix show, I Am Georgina.
