Cameron Crowe is returning to the days of diapers and wipes.
The filmmaker, 67, welcomed his third child — his first with girlfriend Anais Smith — on Monday, November 4, according to an Instagram post shared by the new mom on Sunday, November 10. The couple are parents to a baby girl, Vivienne Marie, with Smith, 40, calling her birth “the greatest gift.”
“In just one week, you’ve already added so much love and happiness to our lives with your joy, curiosity, bright eyes, unforgettable expressions, snuggles and affection,” Smith wrote alongside a carousel of pH๏τos of the little one.
In one of the pictures, Crowe can be seen smiling next to Smith as she cradles Vivienne in the hospital. In another, the director kisses his daughter on the forehead.
“To watch you grow up and navigate this world will be the greatest gift,” Smith added, “and your Dad and I will be there to guide you, celebrate you and have fun along the way! We love you!!!!”

Crowe, who’s directed such films as Jerry Maguire, Almost Famous and Vanilla Sky, is already dad to twin sons Curtis and William, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson. The pair welcomed the boys in 2000 via surrogate and egg donor.
Smith announced she was expecting her first baby with Crowe in August, posting a few pH๏τos of herself and Crowe posing in a vineyard.
“So happy to share this exciting news!! Our hearts are overflowing with love & graтιтude for this next adventure together, as Mom & Dad! We can’t wait to meet you, baby girl. You’ve already added so much color, sunshine and love to our lives!” she wrote.
Crowe and publicist Smith — who has worked with A-List talent in the culinary, film and music worlds — have apparently been dating since 2023 after connecting at a Joni Mitchell concert in Seattle in June of that year.
“Three hours of her playing all her hits. Plus I got to spend time with Cameron Crowe talking about his upcoming bio pic on her…it’s going to be a great one,” Smith wrote on Instagram, alongside a pH๏τo of herself and Crowe at the show.

Crowe was married to Wilson, 70, for 24 years before the former couple called it quits in 2010. The divorce filing cited irreconcilable differences and stated that the pair had been separated since June 2008.
