Netflix finally confirmed that America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders has been renewed for season 2.
The news, announced on Monday, November 11, was accompanied by a teaser that showed some of our favorite DCC ladies doing a special cheer before dropping their pom-poms into the shape of a “2.”
The season 2 pickup isn’t a surprise considering the reality show was a hit. It stayed in the U.S. Top 10 List for five weeks and landed in the Top 10 in 27 other countries.
The seven-episode first season followed both vets and newbie cheerleaders as they tried to impress director Kelli Finglᴀss, head choreographer Judy Trammell and Cowboys executive vice president and chief brand officer Charlotte Jones (who is also the daughter of owner Jerry Jones).
