Miranda Lambert is heading into a new year around the sun – and, apparently, on the golfing range.
The country star was revealed to have a new hobby, in a birthday tribute posted by her husband Brendan McLaughlin.
The country hitmaker turned 41 on Sunday, November 10, and was celebrated on instagram by her spouse of five years.
“Another year around the sun. Happy birthday to the most selfless, loving and genuine person I know,” wrote McLaughlin in his caption. “You are the most amazing animal mom, the best life partner, the most adventurous travel partner, and soon to be the most fun golf partner. Wishing you the best of birthdays. I love you.”

Another snap showed the “Gunpowder & Lead” singer eating a sandwich at what appears to be the famous Katz’s Delicatessen in the Lower East Side of New York City.
Lambert commented on her husband’s post, writing “Thanks babe love you.”
Lambert first met McLaughlin back in 2018, during a performance on Good Morning America in Times Square.
McLaughlin, an NYPD officer who hailed from Staten Island, New York, was stationed in the area where Lambert was performing.
The two only dated for a few months, but soon knew that their partnership would be long.
“We didn’t date very long before we got married. And so we sort of got to just really, really, really get to know each other,” Lambert said in a February 2021 Sirius XM interview. “It was just us two with no distraction, at my farm outside of Nashville. And so I was really thankful for it because it made us really strong.”
The couple got married in January of 2019, and announced it to the world via Lambert’s instagram account a few weeks later on February 16.
