Emmerdale’s James Moore tied the knot with his partner Sophie Edwards at a scenic lakeside manor house earlier this week.
The soap actor, 32, who is known for his character Ryan Stock, brought his new wife to tears during the ceremony as he opened up about living with a disability.
On the big day, he revealed the challenges he had faced growing up with cerebral palsy, which is a condition name for a group of lifelong conditions that affect movement and coordination.
Sophie, who has dated James for five years, told OK! Magazine: ‘That really tugged on everybody’s heartstrings because it just proves that love is there for absolutely everybody.
‘It was one of my highlights of the day. His speech ruined me.’

The pair got engaged in May 2022 and hinted at their wedding earlier this week when James changed his Instagram bio to ‘Husband to Sophie Edwards.’
For the sweet nuptials, one hundred guests attended the romantic Cheltenham -based venue to celebrate their special day.
James opted to add a pop of colour to his wedding ceremony as he walked down the aisle wearing a deep purple two-piece suit – similar to one worn by Batman’s Joker.
He paired his quirky ensemble with some pale blue brogue Oxford shoes, which feature lilac laces, and a pale patterned tie.
Sophie looked elegant as she graced the aisle in a princess-like wedding dress that featured leaf detailing.
Matching her beloved, Sophie held a bouquet featuring pale pink roses.
In their wedding video, James was seen getting teary as Sophie walked among her emotional guests.
Sophie’s mother walked her down the aisle to McFly’s All About You, and there wasn’t a dry eye as the pair said their ‘I dos’.

For the big celebration, the couple incorporated their personality with a Simpsons-themed doughnut wall.
There was also a temporary tattoo station with an array of Pokemon designs.
Back in September, James – who joined Emmerdale in 2018 – revealed they would be getting married in two months.

James wrote: ‘Can’t believe that it’s less than two months until me and Soph get married!!
‘Time has only flown so quickly, but I like to think that we are well prepared. We made our wedding rings last week and it felt so special and unique and was another reminder that I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with my favourite person.’
Last June, the TV star celebrated their four-year anniversary with a heartfelt social media post.
He shared several smiling selfies of the couple and penned: ‘4 years today with my favourite person, my partner, my best friend and now my fiancée too!!
‘I’m so lucky and grateful for everything that you do, looking out for me and always being there for everything!!
‘I love you so much and I can’t wait to marry you next year.’
James has ataxic cerebral palsy, the same disability his character Ryan has.
He made history in 2019 when he became the first disabled winner of a National Television Award, picking up the Best Newcomer gong.
He told the Daily Mirror days after his win that he had been about to quit acting when he landed the Emmerdale gig as he was told there were no roles for him.
He said: ‘You have to have belief and confidence in yourself and not rely on the acceptance of others.
‘I’m loving what I am doing. I’m getting great feedback from people, I’ve won this wonderful award – and I am living my best life.’

James revealed he’d dreamed of becoming an actor since a young age and even studied drama at school, but was told repeatedly there would be no parts for him.
After giving up on his dream – and studying pH๏τography at university – it was an episode of Breaking Bad, which featured Walter White’s son played RJ Mitte who also has cerebral palsy, that convinced him to give acting another try.
‘I thought ”Oh my God there is hope,”’ he recalled.
Just two weeks after signing an agent, James landed the role of Ryan Stocks and immediately took centre stage as the long-lost son of Charity Dingle.
