It’s a far cry from the snake-infested Jungle as ITV bosses treat this year’s I’m a Celebrity contestants to a new challenge located in an Australian mega-mansion.
Instead of the fan-favourite Walk The Plank challenge which has been axed, selected contestants are rumoured to this year be taking part in ‘an equally terrifying’ starting challenge at Diamond Head.
The sprawling estate in Coomera, Queensland, which has been rented by the likes of Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp, will reportedly play host to a handful of celebrities as they complete their first challenge before the Jungle next Sunday.
The 45 acre plot of land boasts a landing strip for private jets, a helicopter operations centre, a go-kart track, a marina for boats, a main residence and guest house.
Known as Diamond Head, the impressive residence was previously owned by the Australian motorcycling champion, Mick Doohan, who bought it for £886,000 in 1996.

The location has been praised for its level of privacy and rarity for its vast size in such a high demand area of Australia’s Gold Coast.
In 2015, Diamond Head became the centre of the infamous legal battle between Johnny Depp, 61, and his ex-wife Amber Heard, 38.
It was alleged that the enraged Alice In Wonderland actor trashed the mansion after getting into an argument with Amber and causing a damage bill of more than £101,000. Depp denied any abuse towards Heard.
The couple were renting the estate while Depp was in Australia filming Pirates Of The Caribbean: ᴅᴇᴀᴅ Men Tell No Tales.
Brad Pitt, 60, and his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, 49, have also previously rented the mansion as well as the singer, Pink, 45.
In a bid to revive the Gold Coast’s film industry amid the pandemic, Doohan decided to open his house for Hollywood A-listers seeking a private and luxurious place to quarantine.
For seven years, Walk The Plank has opened the show with half of camp having to face the terrifying heights of the 314ft Focus building in Surfers Paradise.
Last year, ITV bosses put a terrifying twist on the classic challenge, by replacing it with two flimsy flagpoles with the celebrities made to race each other 110 metres in the air.

But producers have planned a brand new entrance for the campmates, promising the task will be ‘equally as terrifying and exhilarating’.
I’m A Celebrity will return to screens on November 17th with a star-studded line-up, with Coleen Rooney and Maura Higgins set to head into the jungle.
It comes after I’m A Celebrity announced it will be launching a brand new spin-off show called I’m A Celebrity…Unpacked this autumn on ITV2.
The show will be hosted by former jungle star Joe, DJ Kemi and former Made In Chelsea star, Sam.
During the spin-off show the trio will dissect everything that goes on in camp, before speculating about what may be in store, all the while giving their opinions and taking part in fun debates.
They will strive to get all of the latest behind-the-scenes gossip with unseen clips, exclusive interviews, and an insider guide to the iconic Bushtucker Trials.
The trio will also be joined by several celebrity guests throughout the show and viewers will be encouraged to join all the lively debates via social media and the app.
