EXCLUSIVE: Why Ivanka Trump has quit politics

Even though Donald Trump just won the ticket for the 2024 Presidential race, it looks like his daughter, , won’t be in the political spotlight alongside him anymore.

A source close to Trump’s administration told DailyMail.com exclusively that the former senior advisor is ‘not going back into politics,’ and there’s good reason why.

The source explained that things began to sour for Ivanka after the insurrection on January 6, and after she was subpoenaed during the investigation into the president’s efforts to stay in power.

‘She felt like she was being asked to reveal something she did not know anything about and she never wants to be in [that] position again,’ the source told DailyMail.com.

‘Her family means the world to her and she is now focusing on being a mom and other private ventures,’ they continued, adding she is ‘completely happy where she is in her life.’

‘She is perfectly finding handing the reins to Lara [Trump] this time around. Not her circus, not her monkeys.’

Lara, who is married to Ivanka’s brother Eric, took on a larger role during Trump’s campaign this time around, standing by his side at many rallies, including two that took place a mere day before the eve of the election.

Lara is also the co-chair of the Republican National Committee.

However, Ivanka’s stance may not come as a surprise to many, as she said that she did not ‘plan to be involved in politics’ anymore in a statement following her absence from her father’s 2022 campaign launch, per Business Insider.

‘I love my father very much,’ she said at the time.

‘This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics.’

Ivanka’s lack of involvement could be seen during her father’s campaign this year, as she did not join him on the campaign trail.

This was a stark contrast to her role in the 2020 and 2016 elections, where she stood by her dad’s side at many stops and rallies across the country.

However, the former shoe designer made a rare appearance in a stunning white suit as she joined her family onstage at this year’s 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

She and Jared were also present for her Trump’s victory speech at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday evening, but noticeably stood on the other side of her family, next to Vice President J.D. Vance and his wife, Usha.

Ivanka was dressed in a blue velvet pantsuit, which also prompted some wild theories online, with some critics speculating that she was showing subtle support for Democrats as the Republican party color is red.

But outfit aside, according to body language expert Judi James, Ivanka and Jared’s new position on stage pointed to a shift in the family’s dynamic.

‘When Trump became 45th US President, Ivanka’s body language behavior and her stage positioning defined her more as First Lady than Trump’s daughter,’ James told DailyMail.com exclusively on Wednesday.

‘Looking fiercely ambitious, loyal and totally immersed in the game, she knocked Melania and the other Trump children into the long grᴀss.’

James noted that in 2016, Ivanka looked like the ‘anointed one,’ as her father’s body language ‘showed admiration and even respect’ for her – especially as she was a part of her father’s political team.

Now, however, times have changed.

‘Melania is now presented as Trump’s greatest ᴀsset and jewel in the political crown,’ James told DailyMail.com. ‘Her styling is corporate power-dressing and her poses are confident and strong.’

She pointed out that instead of Ivanka, 18-year-old Barron is now ‘posing as the anointed child,’ as he stood up on stage alongside his mom and dad, ‘adopting an alpha pose.’

‘You have to look to find Ivanka now,’ James said.

‘Relegated to the chorus line she arrived stuck in the bottleneck at the entrance to the stage and whereas Trump would once have been seeking her out and presenting her to the audience, she and Jared now seem to be expected to forage for attention on the outskirts, behind Vance and his wife.’

Just mere hours before the election, Ivanka avoided any political talk and instead took to Instagram to share a list of 16 lessons she’s learned after her 43rd birthday.

Some of these lessons included that family and friends ‘are everything’ as she urged followers to ‘forgive people’ and understand that ‘everyone is a teacher.’

She also posted pH๏τos of flowers and horses over the weekend and on Monday.
