Sir Elton John was in high spirits as he graced the red carpet for a special screening of his new biopic Never Too Late in London on Friday. 

The musician, 77, was proudly supported by his husband David Furnish, 62, as they posed for cameras ahead of the screening, which was held at The Ham Yard H๏τel. 

Sir Elton’s new Disney+ documentary and musical is a look back at his astonishing life in the early days of his fifty-year-long career.

He looked trendy as always in his trademark glᴀsses as he sported a bold pink suit consisting of a single-breasted blazer and matching trousers. 

His husband David looked bursting with pride as he supported his beloved husband  on the red carpet.

Elsewhere at the screening, Raye, 27, was in full spirits as she arrived in support of her good pal. 

The Escapism hitmaker took a walk on the wild side as she wrapped up in a tiger print fur coat. 

The beauty donned a pair of suede brown boots as she posed up a storm on the carpet next to her pals. 

Meanwhile, TV show host Clara Amfo, 40, stunned in a red mini blazer dress. 

Showcasing her toned legs, the stunner further elevated her height with a pair of black court heels and donned a pair of gold-toned statement earrings. 

The documentary follows Elton as he looks back on his life and the astonishing early days of his 50-year career in this emotionally charged, intimate and uplifting full-circle journey.

The film features never-before-seen footage including a look into Elton’s handwritten diaries, the audio tapes from the landmark Rolling Stone interview and John Lennon joining him on stage for three songs after his Thanksgiving 1974 Madison Square Garden show.

Elton takes viewers back in time and recounts the extraordinary highs and heartbreaking lows of his early years and how he overcame adversity, abuse and addiction.

Produced by Rocket Entertainment and This Machine Filmworks the film will also feature a new original song from Elton John. 

It comes after his husband revealed at the 32nd annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars viewing party that they had always thought about creating a musical based on his stellar catalogue of classic hits, The Sun reported.

David said at the time: ‘A catalogue musical, we are always looking at it. I haven’t found anything yet that really covers… I think if we wanted to do it, we would want to do it in a way that was really innovative and really exciting and different.’

‘We’re open to any great ideas and it’s a wonderful catalogue. But at the moment, with the two other musicals, we’re quite busy as it is.’

Elton has a busy year ahead, as his Devil Wears Prada show is set to launch in Plymouth in July, followed by his musical Tammy Faye, about the televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker, which is heading to Broadway later this year.
