Country singer Chris Young is seen in new security video where HE is shoved by cop in Nashville bar before his arrest – contradicting police officer’s version of events

New security footage shows Chris Young was aggressively shoved by an officer in the Nashville bar altercation which saw him get arrested – apparently contradicting the cop’s version of events.

The country star is jabbed so violently by the special agent that he tumbles backwards over a bar stool at the DawgHouse Saloon in the video, which is shown from three angles.

Young, 38, was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct, ᴀssaulting an officer and resisting arrest after allegedly ‘striking’ an officer on Monday evening.

Law enforcement said four agents from the Alcoholic Beverage Commission were checking another bar, Tin Roof, when they first encountered the singer, who then followed them to DawgHouse before ᴀssaulting one of them.

But the surveillance video appears to tell a different story, prompting Young’s lawyer Bill Ramsey to demand an apology and that the charges be dropped.

The first clip in the footage shows Young, wearing a black leather jacket, jeans and a cap, stood close to the bar as the four agents march past him towards the exit.

Nashville Star 2006 winner Young extends his arm appearing to bar the path of the first agent, but doesn’t touch him, and the agent responds by shoving him so hard he tumbles backwards.

The fall is so dramatic that several people who were sat at the bar leap up from their seats and approach the Gettin’ You Home singer to check on him.

Another camera angle, taken from behind Young, shows him land on his back on the edge of the bar before falling to the ground. A bar stool crashes down with him.

Young quickly stands and backs away from the agents with his hands raised in a surrendering gesture. One officer inserts himself between Young and the other agents in an apparent peacekeeping gesture.

The Famous Friends singer was arrested shortly afterwards – something his attorney said should never have happened.

‘What happened to my client Chris Young at a bar in Nashville on Monday night was wrong and he never should have been arrested and charged in the first place,’ Ramsey told DailyMail.com.

‘In light of the video evidence, Tennessee ABC needs to drop the charges and apologize for the physical, emotional and professional harm done towards my client.’

Law enforcement said four agents from the Alcoholic Beverage Commission were checking another bar, Tin Roof, when they first encountered the singer (pictured performing in 2021), who then followed them to DawgHouse before ᴀssaulting one of them

The events leading up to the arrest started at around 8:30 pm, when the agents from the Alcoholic Beverage Commission were completing a compliance check at Tin Roof – a bar on Demonbreun Street in Midtown Nashville – and encountered the singer.

After checking his identification, Young – who is known for a series of No. 1 hits and winning the reality show Nashville Star – allegedly followed the agents and asked them questions before recording them with his camera.

When the officers went to the next bar, DawgHouse, to continue their identification checks – Young followed them with his group of people when the confrontation unfolded.

The star then attempted to prevent the agents from leaving by sticking out his hand and allegedly ‘striking’ one of the officers, according to the affidavit.

‘While walking out the door Mr. Young put his hands out to stop me from leaving the bar and struck me on the shoulder,’ the affidavit said.

‘I then pushed Mr. Young to create distance since I had no idea of who Mr. Young was or what he had.’

Young reportedly began walking backward and refusing to comply with the officers – which resulted in him being handcuffed.

The affidavit claims the country singer was slurring his words while his eyes were bloodsH๏τ and watery.
