It’s not too often that Giants fans agree with Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, but Monday was likely one of those times.
Parsons took the Giants to task on his podcast for letting Barkley walk away in free agency on his podcast after the now-Eagles running back rushed for 159 yards against the Jaguars and scored two touchdowns – one on the ground and one on a catch – in an impressive performance on Sunday.
Parsons, who played with Barkley at Penn State, called the situation a “blessing in disguise” for Barkley while criticizing the Giants’ “stupidity” over how things have panned out.
While Barkley has helped the Eagles to a 6-2 record this season, the Giants have won just two games and are coming off a loss to the Commanders on Sunday.
“People can say this is vintage Saquon, but this was always who Saquon was,” Parsons said about Barkley. “Since I’ve known him at Penn State until now, I knew this was what he was capable of. For Saquon, this is a blessing in disguise just off the strength of people are seeing what you’re capable of when people appreciate you.”
