Pat McAfee, Chuck Pagano rip Brian Daboll for throwing Daniel Jones under the bus

Brian Daboll is facing backlash for appearing to throw Daniel Jones under the bus.

On “The Pat McAfee Show” on Thursday, McAfee and former Colts head coach Chuck Pagano were sharply critical of Daboll for publicly pointing out a mistake by Jones that led to the game-ending turnover against the Steelers on Monday night.

“I don’t think you need to go public with that kind of information. The kid knows it,” Pagano, who was dressed as the “H๏τ seat” for Halloween, began.

“Did Daniel Jones come out, when he was speaking to the media, and talk about that two-point play that [was botched] and then he went and executed? You could clearly see how upset Daniel was after that debacle — the swinging gate [or] whatever that was. Did he come out and bash his head coach? I don’t think so.”

“Bad ball,” Pagano concluded, referring to Daboll’s remarks about Jones.

McAfee, dressed as a panda, referred back to the infamous botched fake punt play in a bizarre formation that the two of them were a part of with the Colts against the Patriots in 2015, and how Pagano took the “high road” in not blaming anyone for the error.

“When you start taking sH๏τs at each other — not good,” McAfee said.

There have been signs of growing tension between Daboll and Jones.

The issue occurred at the end of the game when Daniel Jones forgot to tell тιԍнт end Theo Johnson to help tackle Jermaine Eluemunor block T.J. Watt.

Watt strip-sacked Jones and the Steelers sealed the victory.
