86-year-old New Hampshire man named Ned Tarmey was violently attacked outside his home by a neighbor who allegedly threw bricks, rocks, and patio furniture while threatening to k*ll him.
Just when the situation turned life-threatening, Kane, the family’s rescue dog, sprang into action. Kane tackled the attacker, pinned him to the ground, and refused to let go until police arrived.
Ned suffered serious injuries, including fractures and a brain bleed, but his family believes Kane saved his life.
Police later arrested the attacker, who faced multiple charges. The story gained national attention not only because of the shocking attack, but because Kane had been rescued by the family only about a year earlier, making his act of loyalty even more remarkable.
