In an effort to decode the mystery of UFOs and aliens, in July 2022, the Extraordinary Incident Resolution Office (AARO) of the Pentagon (USA) was established. The purpose of AARO is to unite all components of the U.S. Department of Defense and other federal agencies to detect, identify and classify “anomalous objects, unidentified space objects, airborne, under water and other unknown moving objects.
On August 30, AARO launched a new website allowing the US government and military to report UFO sightings since 1945. These reports will help the office complete its historical records. history of unknown events, at the request of the US Congress.
Anomalous Incident Operations Office (AARO) Director Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick said the web will also be used to inform the public about AARO’s findings related to unidentified flying objects ( UFO) or unidentified paranormal phenomena (UAP).
Previously, in a hearing with a subcommittee of the US Senate Armed Services Committee in April 2023, AARO presented a report on the discovery of more than 650 unidentified aerial phenomena and “prioritized consideration of about one half of this”. This report was produced by AARO based on available data, with the participation of scientists, engineers, scholars and open science research experts on UAP.
In this report, AARO points out that nearly 200 cases of claims of UFO sightings have been resolved. These objects are essentially: balloons, drones, birds, weather events, and plastic bags flying through the air.
However, the remaining unexplained cases are the focus of the Pentagon’s investigation. Intelligence agencies and NASA are concerned about the risk of espionage, so AARO will conduct further research to decipher these cases.
