Embark on a Voyage to Ancient Egypt’s 18th Dynasty: King Tutankhamun and the Pharaoh’s Sacred Treasures ‎

In a momentous archaeological discovery, researchers have unearthed the remains of an ancient temple dating back to the New Kingdom period in Luxor, Egypt. The temple, believed to have been dedicated to the god Amun-Ra, was discovered during routine excavation work in the renowned Valley of the Kings.

The canopic chest, left, has four vertical chambers to house the major internal organs of King Tutankhamun. The chapel-shaped canopic shrine is seen under a canopy at right.

“This discovery marks a significant milestone in our understanding of ancient Egyptian religious practices and architectural achievements,” remarked Dr. Fatima Abdel-Rahman, lead archaeologist on the project. “The temple’s intricate carvings and well-preserved artifacts offer valuable insights into the spiritual beliefs and cultural traditions of the New Kingdom era.”
