Naruto (2025) – First Trailer Review: Believe It… This Might Actually Work

🍥

Starring: Ryan Kiera Armstrong as Naruto, Hiroyuki Sanada as Hiruzen, Alex Aiono as Sasuke, Lana Condor as Sakura (rumored)

The wait is over — the first trailer for the live-action Naruto (2025) movie is finally here, and against all odds, it’s… surprisingly awesome?

Fans have long feared a live-action adaptation would fall into the same traps as other anime-to-Hollywood attempts. But based on the trailer? This might be the most promising anime adaptation ever made.

🌀 First Impressions: Visually Stunning, Spiritually Faithful

The trailer opens with a sweeping sH๏τ of the Hidden Leaf Village, alive with energy, bustling markets, and distant ninja leaping across rooftops. Immediately, we’re pulled into a cinematic world that feels real — but still retains the vibrant idenтιтy of Naruto’s original spirit.

From Naruto’s graffiti-covered Hokage faces to the eerie red glow of the Nine-Tails attack in a flashback, the set design, VFX, and world-building all look polished and surprisingly authentic.

👊 Action That Hits Hard (and Looks Great)

Let’s talk about the choreography:
Naruto’s Shadow Clones, Sasuke’s fireball jutsu, Sakura’s chakra-enhanced punches — they all look practical, powerful, and well-integrated with CGI. It feels like Shang-Chi meets The Hunger Games with ninja flavor — and that’s a very good thing.

Most importantly, the trailer gets the tone right: It’s emotional, action-packed, and a little weird — just like Naruto should be.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 The Cast: Still a Mystery, But Promising Hints

We only get quick glimpses of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, but the chemistry seems solid. There’s a sH๏τ of a young Naruto practicing his jutsu in frustration, contrasted with Sasuke calmly staring down a forest of enemies. There’s also a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it frame of Kakashi’s Sharingan activating — and yes, he looks perfectly mysterious under that mask.

Hiroyuki Sanada as Hiruzen is a standout casting choice — his voiceover adds real gravity to the trailer.

🦊 Nine-Tails Hype & Lore Teases

The trailer ends on a high note — a wide sH๏τ of Kurama’s fiery red chakra bursting out of Naruto, hinting at the demon fox’s influence and the film’s long-game potential.

Eagle-eyed fans also spotted:

  • A glimpse of Zabuza’s sword

  • Misty forests likely tied to the Land of Waves arc

  • A kunai embedded in a tree with the Uchiha clan symbol nearby

  • Hints at Itachi’s backstory lurking in shadow

This suggests the film could cover early Naruto arcs up to the Chūnin Exams, with room for sequels.

🎯 Final Verdict: Cautiously Hyped

While anime fans are right to be skeptical, Naruto (2025) is off to a strong start. The trailer captures the emotion, action, and heart of Masashi Kishimoto’s legendary manga without trying to westernize it too much. The tone, visuals, and character moments hint at a film made by fans, for fans — and maybe even newcomers.

If the full movie sticks the landing, we may finally have the live-action anime adaptation we’ve all been waiting for.

🔥 RATING (Trailer): 8.5/10 – Shadow Clone-Approved
