The movie begins with a group of friends embarking on a hiking trip to explore a remote section of the Appalachian Trail. Unbeknownst to them, they are entering the territory of the last surviving members of the inbred cannibalistic clan that has terrorized these woods for generations.
As the group ventures deeper into the forest, they begin to experience strange occurrencesβmissing supplies, disturbing sounds at night, and the feeling of being watched. Tensions rise when they discover an old, abandoned campsite with remnants of a violent struggle. It becomes clear that they are not alone, and that the horrors of the past are still very much alive.
