After over a decade of anticipation, the Riddick saga returns with Riddick: Furya, the fourth installment in the franchise. Vin Diesel reprises his iconic role as Richard B. Riddick, the last of the Furyan race and a notorious criminal outlaw. Directed by David Twohy, who has helmed all previous films in the series, Furya delves deeper into Riddick’s origins and his connection to his homeworld.
The film’s official synopsis reveals that Riddick returns to Furya, a place he barely remembers and fears might be left in ruins by the Necromongers. However, upon his arrival, he discovers that other Furyans are fighting for their existence against a new, formidable enemy. Production for Riddick: Furya commenced in August 2024, with filming locations in Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The film is produced by Vin Diesel’s One Race Films, alongside Samantha Vincent, Thorsten Schumacher, Lars Sylvest, and Joe Neurauter. The collaboration between Diesel and Twohy spans over two decades, encompᴀssing three films, two video games, an anime production, and motion comics .
