Amidst the hustle and bustle of modern life, there are houses that seem to have forgotten time. This cottage, located somewhere in the English countryside, has stood silently for more than 100 years, from the 1900s to 2020 – like a simple witness to time.
From the old black and white pH๏τo, we see the figure of a man standing in front of the threshold, who could be the homeowner, a farmer or a simple worker. The house was rustic at that time, standing alone between the uneven ground and the bare tree stumps of winter.
By 2020, the house is still intact – the thatched roof has been repaired, the stone walls are still sturdy, only the surrounding scenery has changed. There is no more dust, but instead there is a clean asphalt road, flowers and grᴀss dotted on the porch.
A century has pᴀssed, many generations of people have pᴀssed through that door. But perhaps, even though time changes, there are places that still retain their warmth – so that we always know, no matter how far away we go, there is a home waiting for us to return.
