Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni has fired back at ‘bulls***’ criticism over quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Hurts, 26, led the Eagles to their second Super Bowl тιтle back in February however, some fans attribute the franchise’s success to their world-class offensive line.
Fans have previously tried to discredit Hurts’ impact for the side and suggest that he was carried by the Eagles but, now, coach Sirianni has hit back at the narrative.
Firing back at a reporter, he said: ‘Yeah, that’s bulls***. Anytime, I hear that, it’s cool, it’s like a nice debate thing that people like to have.
‘And I get it, there’s a lot of hours that TV shows and radio stations have to fill to be able to fill that debate.
‘I understand that, but we’re talking about the ultimate team game there is, and he does whatever he needs to do to win each and every game.’

It’s fair to say that Hurts’ 2024 regular-season pᴀssing stats were solid but not spectacular. In 15 games, he completed 68.7 percent of his pᴀsses for 2,903 yards, with 18 touchdowns and five interceptions.
His touchdown total ranked 20th, and his 193.5 yards per game ranked 26th.
However, his 103.7 quarterback rating and eight yards per attempt stood out among peers, marking him as a reliable starter, though not an All-Pro contender.
His 630 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns highlight his playmaking ability, though critics attribute much of his goal-line success to his elite offensive line.
Just last month, the Philadelphia Eagles star, 26, announced that he is the author of a new children’s book тιтled, ‘Better Than a Touchdown.’
The football-themed book, which is illustrated by Nneka Myers who previously worked on the The Littlest Fans series’ Beyonce-themed children’s book, is said to center around the messages of friendship and teamwork.
‘Some of the most valuable lessons I’ve brought into my adult life were pᴀssed down to me during childhood, like the importance of doing something bigger than yourself,’ Hurts told the TODAY show.
The book is available for pre-order on Penguin Random House for $19.99 and will be released on March 10, 2026 – over a year on from Hurts and the Eagles’ Super Bowl LIX victory.
