Top ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky closes in on new big-money deal to avoid free agency as he escapes ruthless budget cuts

Top ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky is reportedly close to signing a new deal with the network to avoid free agency as he also escapes the company’s brutal budget cuts.

Orlovsky has been with ESPN since 2018, the year after his long playing career in the NFL came to a close.

Now, the former quarterback is ‘at the 1-yard line’ on inking a long-term contract extension with the network to be an analyst for the NFL and college football, per FOS.

Earlier this year, he teased his future being up in the air with live on-camera address.

‘You guys know this is the end of the season for me, certainly for [Ryan Clark] as well,’ Orlovsky said on ‘First Take’ in February. ‘I’m taking a break, won’t be on TV for a long time. Just want to say thank you to you guys – Stephen A, Molly [Qerim], Shannon [Sharpe] for a great season.’

‘Love being with you guys, love y’all. Never know what the future holds but I’m taking a break, I’m sure RC is as well. Just want to say thank you. Appreciate you guys so much.’

Orlovsky is a frequent face on ESPN’s programming during the NFL season, as he sits on NFL panels and is an on-air guest on programs like ‘The Pat McAfee Show’.

Over the last dozen months, Orlovsky has been poked at by his colleagues as a sign of comradery.

To start his 2024, former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky decided to sniff ‘First Take’ co-host Molly Qerim’s high heel live on-air, leading to all three fellow panelists to be disgusted.

‘Are you really sniffing the shoe?’ Qerim shockingly asked Orlovsky. ‘I just got the shoe and I have тιԍнтs on. Don’t be weird.’

Last April, Orlovsky was accused of farting live on-air of ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ by McAfee and his group of co-hosts during Tuesday’s show.

Orlovsky denies he farted on ESPN’s air waves, stating it was the windshield wipers of his car where he conducted the interview instead.

Orlovsky might have also invented a new way to eat a Reese’s Peanut ʙuттer Cup in January. The candy that combines chocolate and peanut ʙuттer into one delectable bite had half of the ingredients appeal to the former Detroit Lions starter.

He filmed by Clark biting the chocolate parts off the treat and spitting them back into the wrapper that held it prior to consumption.
