Update revealed in Shannon Sharpe's bombshell Sєxual ᴀssault lawsuit as hearing fast approaches

It’s been months since Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe was slapped with a Sєxual ᴀssault lawsuit. The тιԍнт end’s legal team has yet to file an official response.

Sharpe was accused by a woman filing as ‘Jane Doe’ of ᴀssault, Sєxual ᴀssault, battery, Sєxual battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress with a woman in her 20s with whom he had a nearly two-year relationship.

The media star and former three-time Super Bowl champion has repeatedly denied the claims.

However, his legal team has yet to file an official response to the complaint, according to Pro Football Talk.

Proceedings on three different motions are set to take place on July 9 after having been re-scheduled from June 30.

PFT noted that responses are typically completed within 30 days of being served and that extensions are typically granted out of courtesy among lawyers.

Sharpe’s legal team did not immediately return DailyMail.com’s request for comment.

Lanny Davis, the lawyer representing Sharpe, told reporters in April that the former Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens star would be filing a counterclaim against the woman.

Davis also said that Sharpe previously offered the woman ‘at least $10million’ to settle the case and claimed it was a ‘big surprise’ when the case was filed.

Ms. Doe is being represented by Tony Buzzbee – the lawyer who litigated on behalf of more than 20 woman who accused NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson of Sєxual ᴀssault back in 2021.

The plaintiff is alleging that Sharpe ᴀssaulted her multiple times at the end of 2024 and into the beginning of 2025.

The suit led to Sharpe taking a step back from his appearances on ESPN. It’s unclear if Sharpe will be making a return to the company’s airwaves.

Sharpe also ended up cancelling a nationwide tour for his ‘Nightcap’ podcast that was planned for this summer.

‘We’ve decided to postpone the Nightcap tour,’ Sharpe said in a May episode of the podcast. ‘We look forward to seeing you guys in the summer of 2026. It’s going to be even bigger, even better.

‘But Ocho and I have come to the conclusion that this is the best thing as of right now, was to postpone the tour. We look forward to seeing each and every one of you in 2026.’
