Soon-to-be NBA star Collin Murray-Boyles may not have made the best first impression with the Toronto Raptors, after being caught swearing live on TV after the pick.
ESPN cameras cut straight to the 6-foot-7 former South Carolina star when his name was called at No 9 in the Draft, but he looked devastated to be heading north of the border to begin his career.
As he stood up, the 20-year-old could be seen shaking his head, before he appeared to mutter ‘f***’ under his breath as the crowd around him applauded.
He then went on to hug his mom and his girlfriend Chloe Kitts, who herself is a basketball star with South Carolina, before heading up onto the stage to meet NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.
While in front of the crowds, he managed to muster a smile, but the power forward appeared to have made his true feelings clear just seconds before.
On social media, fans were quick to notice the NSFW response to his selection, with one writing: ‘Everyone is salty about their destination tonight.’

Another added: ‘Has to move out of the country, has to be the worst team to get drafted to.’
A third noted: ‘Nobody wants to go to Canada!’
The Raptors finished 11th in the Eastern Conference last season with a 30-52 record, and Murray-Boyles will join the likes of Brandon Ingram, RJ Barrett and Scottie Barnes north of the border in Toronto.
He had previously been asked for his feelings on being drafted by the Raptors if it were to happen, telling reporter Libaan Osman: ‘They have a lot of good scorers.

On X, the Raptors leant into the drama, with the official account quickly posted a pH๏τo of him smiling, alongside the caption: ‘See guys, he’s happy!!’
During his college career, Murray-Boyles missed significant time after contracting infectious mononucleosis.
Despite that, he impressed on his return and was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team.
