A jersey swap between two NBA players — the Toronto Raptors’ Gradey Dick and the Orlando Magic’s Anthony Black — has raised eyebrows, as fans claimed it created the ‘greatest TV moment of 2024.’

Embracing mid-court after the surging Magic pulled away from the slumping Raptors (111-96) on Sunday night in Orlando, the two-highly rated rookies couldn’t help but to show off grins on their faces while posing for pics with their last names side-by-side. 

Evidence online shows that Dick even mouthed the words ‘f*** it’ prior to the swap, suggesting that he knew exactly what he was doing, along with Black, who can be seen re-positioning himself for the cameras.

Later on Dick’s Instagram Story was an uploaded pic’ of the jersey swap, along with the caption: ‘Always good seeing my boy! @anthonyblack’

Dick also commented on Barstool Sports’ post of the jersey swap: ‘Whoopsie.’

The pair embraced each other before deciding to troll fans and reporters with a jersey swap

A pic’ of the exchange was initially shared by the Magic’s X account on before it was deleted 

What’s more is that the Magic’s social media team innocently shared a sH๏τ of the jersey swap on X but was forced to delete it later due to loads of fans reacting to the viral moment.

Among them was ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, who tweeted on X: ‘Good lord.’ 

Another user shared: ‘Gradey Dick is going to go on a world tour making as many jokes with his last name as possible and I am here for it.’

Thinking along the same lines, an NBA fan account pointed out that ‘Gradey Dick finna do all these jerseys swaps’ with snaps of Derrick White, Nᴀssir Little, Draymond Green and Jaylen Brown. 

Moving on from the banter, Dick managed to get into double digits against Orlando, scoring 10 points on 4 for 11 shooting. He was 2 for 3 from behind the arc.

Black, on the other hand, scored a mere two points to go along with his only steal of the game. 

The playoff-bound Magic (No. 5) play the Charlotte Hornets next on Tuesday, while the Raptors (No. 12) will take on the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.
