New Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers confirmed that he is married following weeks of speculation. 

The quarterback reported for his first day of training as a Steeler Tuesday but Pittsburgh isn’t the only new addition to Rodgers’ life.

The NFL veteran confirmed that he has a new wife as well as a new team, confirming to members of the media that he tied the knot ‘a couple of months’ ago. 

When questioned about the glaring band circling his finger, Rodgers admitted, ‘Yes, it’s a wedding ring.’

The four-time MVP’s bombshell announcement comes after weeks of speculation that he had discreetly exchanged his vows with his mystery girlfriend, ‘Brittani.’ 

Rodgers, who was previously engaged to actress Shailene Woodley, first sparked rumors last month when he was spotted at the Kentucky Derby with a band on his ring finger.

The accessory, spotted by eagle-eyed fans, led many to theorize that, while deliberating his NFL future, Rodgers had tied the knot. 

And following weeks of uncertainty over both his NFL limbo and his relationship status, Rodgers has put the speculation shrouding both to rest. 

Rodgers had been agonizing over his NFL future for months after being released by the New York Jets in March, with the option of retirement not entirely off the table. 

But now, the quarterback is officially set to play his 21st season in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers after pᴀssing his physical and signing a one-year deal with the franchise at the weekend. 

The 41-year-old made it official after arriving at the Steelers’ facilities to sign his contract, which is worth $13.65million, including $10million guaranteed, according to Adam Schefter.

The deal is said to have a maximum value of $19.5m, including $5.85m worth of playtime and team performance incentives.

True to form, Rodgers kept his nuptials under wraps for the past couple of months with even close friend AJ Hawk telling Pat McAfee that the signal caller hadn’t let slip whether he had gotten hitched during their trip to Churchill Downs in May. 

The idenтιтy of Rodgers’ new wife remains a mystery with the former Super Bowl winner notoriously тιԍнт-lipped on his private life. However, he did reveal back in December that he had found love.

He told McAfee and the rest of the crew that he has a new girlfriend named Brittani, though he did not go into any further details on who she is or how they met.

He previously dated some other high-profile figures, including ex-racing driver Danica Patrick

Rodgers was discussing buying Christmas presents for loved ones when he casually dropped in that he is dating again.

‘I was a little bit worried because there was one package left for my girlfriend Brittani that hadn’t showed up yet, so I’d been waiting on this to show up,’ he said on ESPN’s daily sports talk show. ‘It showed up today so everything is great now.’

After laughing off a joke from a member of the crew that he’s dating Britney Spears , Rodgers confirmed that his girlfriend’s name is the version spelt with an ‘i’.

He revealed that his new love interest is not on any social-media channels after joking that she probably doesn’t watch McAfee’s show despite being a fan of the ESPN host.

Rodgers’ last public relationship was with Woodley, with the pair going their separate ways in 2022 after two years together. The actress is believed to have moved on with ‘Emily In Paris’ star Lucas Bravo.

Prior to his romance with Woodley he dated some high-profile figures in former racing car driver Danica Patrick and another actress in Olivia Munn. 

Patrick previously sensationally claimed that their relationship was ’emotionally abusive’ and ‘wore me down to nothing’.

The former NASCAR driver and Rodgers started dating in January 2018 and made their red-carpet debut at that year’s ESPY awards.

At the end of 2019 they bought a home together in Malibu and spent the first few months of 2020 living together in the trendy California beach town.

However, their relationship didn’t last much longer as they split in July 2020 after just over two years together.

Rodgers’ life-changing news comes amid a reported turbulent time off the field for the former Green Bay Packers star. 

He admitted in April that serious personal issues were affecting his decision over his NFL future, leading to the holdup in him landing a new team.

‘I’ll set it all straight. From the jump, I’m in a different phase of my life, I’m 41 years old, I’m in a serious relationship, I have personal commitments I’ve made… and people in my inner circle battling difficult stuff. To make a commitment to a team is a big thing,’ the four-time MVP confessed on the Pat McAfee Show.

He later confirmed that the heartbreaking tragedy delaying his NFL decision was that members of his inner circle were battling cancer. 

‘I’ve been in the weeds with these people who are close to me that have cancer ,’ he told Joe Rogan on his podcast.

Rodgers did not specify who in his inner circle was battling cancer, or how many had been stricken with the disease.

The former Super Bowl champion maintained that he had no intention of holding any team ‘hostage’ as he claimed he had been continuously candid with NFL franchises about his private life.

He insisted that he had been upfront during discussions with teams about the current non-football related issues dictating his attention.
