Stefon Diggs’ future with the Patriots is in serious doubt – and not just because he was filmed handling a bag containing an unknown substance while partying on a boat surrounded by scantily-clad women.
That is according to former NFL star Scott Zolak, who has suggested that other problems have been bubbling beneath the surface since the receiver signed for New England in March.
In a video that went viral over Memorial Day Weekend, Diggs was seen lounging shirtless on the boat, chatting with three women – all dressed in ʙικιɴιs – who called him ‘daddy.’ That is despite his girlfriend, rap star Cardi B, also being onboard.
Towards the end of the clip, Diggs produced a plastic bag containing an unknown substance that one of the women took from him.
Earlier this week, one NFL insider revealed that Diggs could be cut over the incident, with the receiver’s future said to be dependent on whether coach Mike Vrabel believes his version of events.
Now, though, Zolak has claimed: ‘It’s not just the boat’. The ex-Patriots quarterback who now covers New England from the broadcast booth, insists he knows that the option of releasing Diggs is ‘on the table’ and being ‘thought of’.

‘It’s not just the boat’, former Patriots quarterback Scott Zolak has sensationally claimed
‘There are some other things that I’ve heard that put some things in question, ‘Are you all-in here?’ he said on his radio program on 98.5 The Sports Hub.
Diggs, a four-time Pro Bowler, only joined the Patriots in March. He signed a three-year, $69million contract which includes $25m guaranteed.
The 31-year-old did not attend voluntary practice on Wednesday, when Vrabel addressed the incident.
‘It’s something we’re aware of and obviously we want to make great decisions on and off the field,’ Vrabel said. ‘Any conversations that I’ve had with Stefon will remain between him and I and the club.’
Despite the off-field drama, Zolak hopes Diggs will remain with the Patriots. ‘The videos look great of him working out,’ he said.
‘I’ve touted the videos. I know you need diva receivers. I say he shouldn’t be cut, because I think he would help Drake Maye and this offense and Josh McDaniels, because you would have a true viable guy that would set coverage. Right now, you still don’t have a guy who sets coverage.’
