Patriots coach Mike Vrabel breaks silence after viral video of Stefon Diggs swarmed by ʙικιɴι-clad women during boat party

Mike Vrabel has urged his Patriots players to make ‘great decisions’ after Stefon Diggs was recorded partying on a boat with ʙικιɴι-clad women over the weekend.

Diggs, who joined New England this offseason in free agency, was seen talking to three women with his rapper girlfriend Cardi B just feet away.

At one point, Diggs pulled out a bag with an unknown pink substance, which one of the women took from him.

And after the clip went viral, Vrabel told reporters that the team was ‘aware’ of the video.

‘And obviously we want to make great decisions on and off the field. And we’re hoping with our time out on the field today – and when we don’t have a script and we’re on the call periods – that we’re making great decisions,’ he said.

‘And so the message will be the same for all our players, that we’re trying to make great decisions. And any conversations that I’ve had with Stefon will remain between him and I and the club.’

Vrabel, who arrives with a 54-45 head coaching record from his time with the тιтans, previously set some ground rules for the Patriots when he spoke to the team in April.

In a video posted (and then seemingly deleted) by the Patriots Español account, Vrabel told players to be on time, lower their hoods during meetings and keep their cell phones away during team activities.

Vrabel started his speech by asking players to ‘respect the football team and the people that are here’ before speaking of his goal for his players to ‘protect’ and be ‘proud’ of the team’s program.

He also added that things would be changing from the previous two regimes.

‘We’re building our own idenтιтy, we’re building our own team, we’re building our own program,’ Vrabel said.

‘There’s gonna be things within that that are different. There’s gonna be things within that are the same.’

Vrabel and New England will hope that Diggs – once healthy – can lead a wide receivers’ room which features no other career 1,000-yard pᴀss catchers.

The Patriots will begin their season on September 7 against the Raiders.
