Former NBA star Lamar Odom was heckled by protestors while making his way into a Donald Trump-hosted crypto gala in Virginia on Thursday night.
Odom, 45, was caught in the crosshairs of an angry crowd outside Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, where he was heading to dine with the president and hear about his bitcoin plans along with 200 other crypto enthusiasts.
As he arrived, footage on social media shows the two-time NBA champion being booed by protestors holding up anti-crypto signs outside the club.
One of them could be heard screaming: ‘You’re better than this!’
While another went even further by shouting: ‘Shame on you, Lamar!’
Odom, who was wearing a slick black suit on the day, walked into the venue using his trademark walking stick – which he has used since his near-fatal drug overdose back in 2015.

Trump has been criticized for venturing into the crypto market by some of his fiercest critics
Odom, 45, was on the exclusive invite list for the event on Thursday
Invites to Trump’s crypto gala were exclusively awarded to top buyers of his $RUMP coin, which has sparked outrage amongst the president’s critics.
A number of them have argued that his foray into the crypto world proves he is solely interested in enriched both himself and his family.
Trump is said to have arrived at the event via helicopter and spoke with several guests in attendance before leaving.
It is unclear whether he spoke with Odom, yet the former Los Angeles Lakers power forward took to X on Friday to heap praise on Trump for ‘supporting the meme philosophy’.
Lamar, who was previously married to reality star Khloe Kardashian, is most famous for his eight-year stint with the Lakers, where he won both of his NBA Championships.
He also played for the LA Clippers, Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks, while even enjoying a spell in Spain before bowing out from basketball.
