NFL prospect Travis Hunter is set to tie the knot this weekend, with the Jaguars star marrying Leanna Lenee in Chattanooga, Tennessee
Hunter is one of the greatest talents of the class of 2025, having starred at Colorado as both a wide receiver and a cornerback. The 22-year-old won the coveted Heisman Trophy – for the best player in college football – and was drafted No 2 overall by Jacksonville.
But Hunter has also made headlines off the field after a number of viral incidents involving his fiancee, whose full name is Leanna De La Fuente, including when they appeared to clash on the sidelines. Both even briefly deleted their Instagram profiles amid the scrutiny.
One incident that put them in the spotlight occurred last November, in the aftermath of Colorado’s 52-0 win over Oklahoma State.
Lenee and Hunter appeared to get into an argument – with Lenee seemingly rebuffing Hunter’s attempt to kiss her on the cheek.
A few weeks later, in the run up to the Heisman ceremony, she appeared to grow frustrated at Hunter as he took pictures with female fans.

Lenee later appeared upset with Hunter as he took snaps with a female supporter
Lenee was seen sitting nearby as he took snaps with a female supporter. She appeared upset and even asked him: ‘What do you want me to do? I’ll just sit here then.’
Then, when Hunter was announced as the winner of the prestigious award, Lenee initially remained in her seat while Hunter’s mother and Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders stood up.
She briefly stood and gave Hunter a hug after Sanders appeared to tap her, but promptly sat back down as Hunter continued embracing his group.
Hunter later revealed that Lenee had cried herself to sleep following the ceremony as she continued to be pelted with criticism.
A video also resurfaced in which Lenee said that Hunter was not her ‘type’ before they had started dating, sparking more vitriol.
Amid the furor, Hunter appeared to briefly delete Instagram. He also revealed that he has largely stopped taking pH๏τos with fans and had hired a new security guard.
‘I just let people talk,’ he said. ‘I really don’t care what they think or what they say about us so, I just go on there and troll.
‘They talk about her, I post her to make them even more mad than they already are so they try to find something to hate, try to find something to break up on our relationship but ain’t nothing there, ain’t nothing you can find cause I love my woman.’

Hunter will take a break from rookie minicamp to tie the knot in Tennessee on Saturday
Hunter previously claimed the couple have been together for five years. They announced their engagement in February 2024 and Hunter will take a break from rookie minicamp to tie the knot on Saturday.
In a social media video in December, meanwhile, Lenee addressed the multiple issues, claiming she was ‘tired, emotionally and mentally, of seeing people try to make me out to be a person that I am not.’
Later in the video, she said: ‘The things that I see people make up is truly crazy because it’s not what happened.
‘I just think people are just finding every single little thing and trying to make it something it’s not. Then birdbrained individuals are just accepting what they see online.’
