New Raiders star Ashton Jeanty joins Shedeur Sanders on list of prank call victims from NFL Draft

New Las Vegas Raiders star Ashton Jeanty has revealed he also fell victim to a prank call during the NFL Draft following the controversy surrounding Shedeur Sanders.

Shedeur, the quarterback son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, saw his humiliating freefall to the fifth round of the draft compounded by a cruel prank call, which was made to a phone number only available to NFL executives and team front offices.

It later emerged that Jax Ulbrich, the 21-year-old son of Atlanta Falcons DC Jeff Ulbrich, was behind the call after he released a statement confessing to the outrageous act.

Sanders wasn’t the only victim of the prank call torture with at least five others reported to have suffered a similar fate, including undrafted free agent Isaiah Bond.

Penn State тιԍнт end Tyler Warren, who was ultimately selected by the Indianapolis Colts, and Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord, who was eventually taken in the sixth round with the 181st pick by the Philadelphia Eagles, are also believed to have been targeted amongst others.

And after being selected by the Raiders sixth overall in the first round of the draft, Jeanty has added himself to the growing list of victims after admitting he was prank called by someone pretending to be a Dallas Cowboys representative.

‘Some dude called me and was like, “We just traded with the Raiders, and you’re coming to the Cowboys,”‘ the rookie running back said in an interview with FanSided. ‘And I just hung up bro.’

While it is unclear who was behind the call to Jeanty, the NFL has punished both the Falcons and Ulbrich for failing to prevent the brutal call.

Last week it was confirmed the franchise has been fined $250,000 and Ulbrich $100,000 for the breach of confidential information.

It is reported that Jax obtained the number by writing it down from his father’s iPad, while visiting his parents’ home with the intention of later conducting the call, according to ESPN.

In a responding statement, the Falcons accepted the discipline, vowing to тιԍнтen its security procedures.

The organization further revealed that Ulbrich’s son Jax would be serving his own punishment in the form of community service.

‘We appreciate the NFL’s swift and thorough review of last week’s data exposure and the event that transpired due to it,’ the franchise said.

‘We were proactive in addressing the situation internally and cooperated fully with the league throughout the process, and accept the discipline levied to Coach Jeff Ulbrich and the organization. We are confident in our security policies and practices and will continue to emphasize adherence to them with our staff whether on or off premises.

‘Additionally, the Ulbrich family is working with the organization to participate in community service initiatives in relation to last week’s matter.’
