Phil Simms and Lawrence Taylor retired together, and now the Giants legends are together again at the center of rookie Abdul Carter’s jersey number selection process.

Carter said Friday on X that it would be an “honor” to wear Simms’ No. 11 if it is unretired — a proposition that the Super Bowl-winning quarterback sounded OK with during his appearance on FanDuel TV.

But Simms didn’t really think then that Carter would ask — and he’s still not sure that the conversation will be had.

And it does not seem — at least for now — that Carter will get to share the same No. 11 in blue.
