Details on Jordon Hudson’s involvement in UNC’s failed “Hard Knocks” offseason series are beginning to trickle out.

Before the deal with HBO fell through, Hudson, the 24-year-old girlfriend of Tar Heels head coach Bill Belichick, “demanded” to be an executive producer on the program, according to a report from Page Six. 

The outlet also reported that Hudson wanted to “see dailies of the proposed show” and told NFL Films executives “to treat her with respect, or they wouldn’t get to use the coach’s ‘IP’”.

“The ‘Hard Knocks’ people were like, we can’t deal with this goodbye, and they walked away,” an insider told Page Six. “Sorry it’s not like you’re Priscilla Presley.”

The latest news comes after The Athletic reported that Hudson played a pivotal role in killing the negotiations. 

The NFL’s vice president for commercial operations and business affairs Jessica Boddy reportedly wrote in an email to UNC’s counsel on March 3 that “Hard Knocks” showmakers “will not proceed with the production of the Belichick project.”

“The conversation took a turn we were not comfortable with,” Boddy added. 

The emails the outlet obtained also revealed that the show was “at the request of Coach Belichick.” 

NFL Films was set to begin filming March 1 and capture the behind-the-scenes of Belichick’s first season coaching at the college level.

Belichick and Hudson’s relationship has come under the microscope this week after she made a viral cameo in Belichick’s appearance on “CBS Sunday Morning” last weekend.

Hudson, who met Belichick on a plane from Boston to Florida in 2021 and is said to have “both a personal and professional relationship” with eight-time Super Bowl champion, interrupted the interview after CBS’s Tony Dokoupil asked about how they met.
