Details on Jordon HudsonâÂÂs involvement in UNCâÂÂs failed âÂÂHard Knocksâ offseason series are beginning to trickle out.
Before the deal with HBO fell through, Hudson, the 24-year-old girlfriend of Tar Heels head coach Bill Belichick, âÂÂdemandedâ to be an executive producer on the program, according to a report from Page Six.Â
The outlet also reported that Hudson wanted to âÂÂsee dailies of the proposed showâ and told NFL Films executives âÂÂto treat her with respect, or they wouldnâÂÂt get to use the coachâÂÂs âÂÂIPâÂÂâÂÂ.
âÂÂThe âÂÂHard Knocksâ people were like, we canâÂÂt deal with this goodbye, and they walked away,â an insider told Page Six. âÂÂSorry itâÂÂs not like youâÂÂre Priscilla Presley.âÂÂ
The latest news comes after The Athletic reported that Hudson played a pivotal role in killing the negotiations.Â
The NFLâÂÂs vice president for commercial operations and business affairs Jessica Boddy reportedly wrote in an email to UNCâÂÂs counsel on March 3 that âÂÂHard Knocksâ showmakers âÂÂwill not proceed with the production of the Belichick project.âÂÂ
âÂÂThe conversation took a turn we were not comfortable with,â Boddy added.Â
The emails the outlet obtained also revealed that the show was âÂÂat the request of Coach Belichick.âÂÂÂ
NFL Films was set to begin filming March 1 and capture the behind-the-scenes of BelichickâÂÂs first season coaching at the college level.
Belichick and HudsonâÂÂs relationship has come under the microscope this week after she made a viral cameo in BelichickâÂÂs appearance on âÂÂCBS Sunday Morningâ last weekend.
Hudson, who met Belichick on a plane from Boston to Florida in 2021 and is said to have âÂÂboth a personal and professional relationshipâ with eight-time Super Bowl champion, interrupted the interview after CBSâÂÂs Tony Dokoupil asked about how they met.
