Kevin Durant spoke in an interview and revealed at least two players he thinks will be the face of the NBA over the next 10 years.

Durant, the star forward for the Phoenix Suns, is currently leading his team to a playoff spot as one of the top teams in the Western Conference just after the All-Star break.

In an interview with Boardroom, the media network he co-owns with business partner Rich Kleiman, Durant spoke on a wide range of topics before projecting who would be the elite of the elite in the next decade.

After doing the mental math, both Durant and Kleiman settled on one name first: San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama.

Following that, they both added another name to that list: Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards.

The Suns star tipped Anthony Edwards (L) and Victor Wembanyama (R) as the ‘next up’

Devin Booker Joel Embiid

Durant also had plenty of praise for stars Devin Booker (L) and Joel Embiid (R)

‘He’s a team builder,’ Durant said of Minnesota’s elite guard. ‘Like his personality, his demeanor is something you can build around and have people come into the gym and say, “yo, be like that.” Those are the ones.

‘You walk in the gym [and see him] working hard. You walk in and he[‘s] being a great teammate and bringing everybody with him.

‘Those are culture builders… I don’t want to name just a few names because there’s so many that I think that can be that for franchises.

‘But off top, since you named Ant and Vic, those two for sure and can be that.’

Durant then went on to praise his fellow Suns teammate Devin Booker and reigning MVP Joel Embiid.

The Phoenix forward said he knew he’d be as good as he is now ‘once he started playing’, adding that after his first seasons were plagued with injuries, ‘I seen how easily he did everything, I was like yeah it’s gonna be a problem.’

When asked about Booker, Durant was quick to praise his fellow star’s mentality.

‘When it’s time to hunt and kill, he’s all about that. And he doesn’t let up either… His mentality to go score the ball is something I underestimated. I truly didn’t know it was at this level.’
