Elijah Moore signing one-year deal worth up to $5 million with Bills

Elijah Moore has a new job.

The ex-Jets wide receiver is headed to upstate New York after agreeing to a one-year deal worth up to $5 million with the Bills on Wednesday, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

“Back in that red and blue Time to go be GREAT. Grateful for the opportunity! Cant wait to meet BILLS MAFIA,” Moore posted on X.

Moore, 25, had a career-high 61 catches for 538 yards with a touchdown for the 3-14 Browns last season, his second in Cleveland.

The Ole Miss product spent the first two seasons of his NFL career with the Jets after the franchise drafted him in the second round of the 2021 draft.

Moore’s two-year stint with Gang Green was a turbulent one.

During his sophomore season in 2022, Moore requested a trade from the Jets shortly after a bizarre social media posting spree amid a tough two-game stretch.

After the season, the Jets sent Moore to the Browns along with their third-round pick in exchange for Cleveland’s second-round pick in the 2023 draft.

The Bills’ latest move comes just days after Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane lost it on WGR 550 Buffalo SportsRadio hosts Jeremy White and Joe DiBiase for suggesting the team should have addressed the wide receiver position earlier in last week’s draft.

“I was just listening to the last few minutes of your show waiting to come on and it sounds like 2018 all over with you guys,” Beane said. “You guys were bitching in 2018 about Josh Allen, you guys wanted Josh Rosen, and now you guys are bitching that we don’t have a receiver.”
