Police investigate brother of NFL star Puka Nacua who was seen slapping a fan during UFL game

The brother of Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is being investigated by St. Louis Police and the UFL for an altercation with a fan over the weekend.

Samson Nacua, a wide receiver for the Michigan Panthers, got physical with a fan of the St. Louis Battlehawks in a game played on Saturday.

In video captured by a fellow spectator and posted onto social media, Nacua is seen yelling at a fan who was leaning over the railing at The Dome at America’s Center in the city.

Nacua is then seen jumping up and striking the fan in the face with an open hand before walking away.

One of Nacua’s teammates, cornerback Adonis Alexander, was seen pointing and laughing at the fan before the camera eventually pans back to the receiver who kept talking at the spectator.

In a statement, the UFL says they are aware of the incident and that league officials are ‘currently investigating the matter.’

Police in St. Louis have also released a statement on the matter (via TMZ Sports): ‘We are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident and we are working to obtain video from The Dome at America’s Center that may have captured what led up to the encounter.’

Nacua finished the game with three catches for 46 yards in a 32-27 defeat to the Battlehawks.

Prior to his current stint in the UFL, Nacua attended the University of Utah and BYU from 2016 to 2021. In that final season, he was teammates with his brother.

After college, Samson was signed to the practice squads of the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints.

He spent one season in the USFL with the now-defunct Pittsburgh Maulers. Nacua then jumped to the Michigan Panthers of the UFL, the league that was the result of a merger between the USFL and the XFL.
