Pat McAfee left fans stunned on Thursday night at the NFL Draft as he was caught puffing a substance from a pen moments before he went live for ESPN.
In a video from reporter Kyle Malzhan, McAfee can be seen accepting the item from a fan in the crowd before putting the pen to his mouth and blowing out smoke.
He then hilariously offered a hit to former Packers and Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy, who respectfully declined.
Fans speculated that the device was a marijuana pen, though McAfee later said that he was told it was ‘CBD/Vitamins.’
‘To my understanding.. This was CBD/Vitamins from a wonderful dude at the draft last night.. obviously,’ he wrote on X.
‘Right before we went live.. a little alтιтude/atтιтude lift.. thought Coach might’ve gave it a go.’
