Roger Goodell roasted for bizarre bicycle entrance at 2025 NFL Draft

Roger Goodell paid homage to a famed Packers training camp tradition of riding bikes to practice for his entrance for Day 1 of the NFL draft in Green Bay, though the internet found it more amusing than anything else.

Goodell took the draft stage on two wheels on Thursday, doing a lap around as the boos rained down on him, a tradition at the draft that the NFL commissioner has embraced.

The commish led several ex-Packers onto the stage along with rapper Lil Wayne, a well-known Packers fan.

After Goodell got off the bike, he then stepped to the podium and encouraged the crowd to emphatically boo him.

“Come on!” Goodell said while raising his hands over his head to encourage the boos.

“OK, welcome to the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin,” he then said pushing past the boos.

The Packers’ 66-year-old tradition of riding local children’s bikes to practice began in 1958 and is officially called the American Family Insurance DreamDrive.

While the entrance was meant to honor it, fans online quickly poked fun at it.

Several people compared it to how Billy the Puppet from the “Saw” movie franchise rode a bike in posts on X.

“Why am I watching Roger Goodell and Lil Wayne ride bikes??” another person wrote on X.

“Roger Goodell wasn’t out riding his bike to his homie’s house until the streetlights came on growing up. Was that his first time ever riding one?” someone else commented.

“Roger Goodell trying to act like a real human is one of my favorite annual traditions. We just witnessed his first ever bike ride,” one user wrote.

The draft will run through Saturday.
