Will Campbell sweetly embraces girlfriend after Patriots take him at No. 4 in 2025 NFL Draft

Former LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell had a special someone by his side when his name was called Thursday in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Moments after the Patriots selected Campbell with the fourth overall pick, he shared a sweet moment with his girlfriend, Ashlynn Nussmeier, who looked stunning in a black dress, as ESPN cameras captured them hugging in the green room at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.

The couple posed with his mom, Holly Campbell, on the red carpet.

Campbell and Nussmeier made their relationship public on Instagram last September.

Nussmeier is also a student at LSU and she is in the Kappa Delta sorority.

Campbell marks Mike Vrabel’s first pick as head coach of the Patriots.

Vrabel, a New England legend, was hired by the team in January following a one-and-done season from Jerod Mayo.

Campbell was emotional on stage after he went off the board to New England.

“Just all the hard work,” Campbell said as he paused and choked back tears. “I have worked my entire life to be here, just to be able to get my name called by a franchise like New England.

“It means everything to me.”

Campbell said he will “fight and die” on the offensive line to protect quarterback Drake Maye.

“I will fight and die to protect them with everything I got,” he said.

The 6-foot-6, 319-pound Campbell started all 38 games for the Tigers, where his athleticism stood out in a tough SEC conference.

During his pre-draft press conference last week, Vrabel praised Campbell for his dedication and pᴀssion on the field.

“This is a young player who cares deeply about his team,” Vrabel said.

Patriots director of college scouting Camren Williams said they looked into Campbell heavily leading up to the draft.

“We did a ton of work on him leading up to the draft,” Williams said. “I thought he was a really good left tackle when I scouted him. He checks a lot of boxes. He’s big. He’s athletic. He gives you a ton of athleticism. He oozes toughness.”
