Fired-up Jaxson Dart celebrates Giants pick in jubilant NFL draft scene

A fired-up Jaxson Dart could hardly contain his excitement Thursday night when the Giants traded back into the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft to select him No. 25 overall.

Joined by family and friends for a draft night gathering in his native Kaysville, Utah, the former Ole Miss quarterback grinned from ear to ear as he hung up the phone and screamed with glee, as seen in footage captured by ESPN.

Dart, 21, embraced his parents, Brandon and Kara Dart, as surrounding loved ones celebrated his Big Blue moment.

The Giants, who grabbed premier edge rusher Abdul Carter with pick No. 3, traded for the Texans’ first-round pick at No. 25, sending a 2025 second-rounder (No. 34), a 2025 third-rounder (No. 99) and a 2026 third-round pick to Houston in return.

Dart previously spoke to The Post’s Jenna Lemoncelli about the possibility of playing in New York and what the opportunity would mean to him.

“It’s a historic and legendary organization to play for,” he said. “And all I can say is I’ll turn up the city and win a lot of games and win Super Bowls.”

With his NFL journey about to begin, Dart will be leaning on his inner circle, including his brother and rising football prospect, Diesel Dart, as he transitions to the pros.

“I have a great corner around me, family keeps me super grounded, and we’re just super down-to-earth people,” he said.

Dart is the latest addition to the Giants’ revamped quarterback room.

They added veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in free agency and retained the homegrown Tommy DeVito.

The Giants finished the 2024 season at 3-14 and released starter Daniel Jones midway through the season.
