Shannon Sharpe to rape accuser in new recording: ‘I might choke you in public’

Shannon Sharpe threatened to choke his rape accuser in public in a new audio clip released by the Jane Doe’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee, to TMZ on Wednesday.

During the clip, Sharpe says he’s going to Los Angeles. The accuser says she doesn’t know why the ESPN “First Take” star would want to go out, to which he responds not to worry.

When the accuser then says she doesn’t want to be choked, Sharpe replies, “I might choke you in public.”

After a pause, Sharpe adds, “Big black guy chokes small white woman.”

“It’s not a good look, Shannon,” the accuser responds. Sharpe then accused the woman of doing something to him, though it’s unclear what that is.

Sharpe, 56, has denied the allegations laid out in a $50 million civil lawsuit — in which the woman accused Sharpe of raping her in late 2024 and early 2025 — and his attorney, Lanny J. Davis, has released a series of texts allegedly from the accuser that he claims depict a consensual relationship that included “role-playing” and “fantasy.”

Sharpe’s team insisted to TMZ that conversations like this were a normal part of the relationship and not an actual threat.

One alleged text from the accuser in October 2023 says, “I want you to put a dog collar around my neck and choke me with it while you’re f–king me.”

Davis said Tuesday that Sharpe and the accuser were close to a settlement worth “at least $10 million” before she backed out.

The latest audio clip was released after another audio of an alleged exchange between Sharpe and “Jane Doe” was obtained Tuesday by The Post.

“If you say that word one more time, I’m going to f–king choke the s–t out of you when I see you,” a man who sounded like Sharpe was heard saying.

“I don’t want to be choked…” the woman said after a long pause.

“Yes, you do,” Sharpe allegedly replied. “I don’t think you have a choice in the matter.”

In her complaint, filed Sunday in Nevada, “Jane Doe” alleges Sharpe committed ᴀssault, Sєxual ᴀssault, battery, Sєxual battery and engaged in the intentional infliction of emotional distress during a “rocky consensual relationship” that lasted nearly two years.

The plaintiff, who is more than 30 years younger than him, alleges Sharpe brutally Sєxually ᴀssaulted her several times at the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025.

Sharpe, a Pro Football Hall of Famer who played for the Broncos and Ravens, denied all of the allegations in a statement through his lawyer, Lanny J. Davis on Monday, and called it a “shakedown” in a subsequent Instagram video.

During a press conference addressing the matter on Tuesday, Davis said he was not given any tapes and could not verify if it was Sharpe.

Davis called it a classic case of “blackmail” by the plaintiff, who he said “took advantage” of Sharpe’s “very lucrative” deal for his “Club Shay Shay” podcast.

Sharpe was sued a day before Front Office Sports reported that he is expected to sign a deal for his “Club Shay Shay” podcast that would exceed $100 million after his contract with Colin Cowherd’s The Volume podcast network expired recently.

Sharpe and his counsel released hundreds of text messages Tuesday of alleged exchanges with “Jane Doe” about Sєxual acts and money.

Davis said the woman was on OnlyFans — a subscription-based social media platform, where users can sell and/or purchase original content.

“What she does on OnlyFans was for money and role playing and virtual fantasy with money who pay her,” Davis said. “It was a fact that the plaintiff started to charge Mr. Sharpe money. This is who she is by the facts. I’m just describing that she’s on OnlyFans and charges people money to do role-playing.”

David added that there will be a counterclaim and the accuser “will be held accountable for a willful and vicious accusation.”
