After months of speculation, intrigue and rumors, at least the Giants will not have to wait long Thursday night before making their selection in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

They own the No. 3 pick, an extremely early on-the-clock appointment as the reward for what felt like an interminable 2024 season.

Up that high, the Giants must find and take a player capable of making an immediate and lasting impression.

The goal going into this protracted process was to find a quarterback they could project as a starter, either this season or in 2026, and that remains a priority, though this is not the best year to be searching for help at that position.
