Jets’ rookie leaders aren’t giving anything away — but they do have to deliver

Jets’ rookie leaders aren’t giving anything away — but they do have to deliver

Two rookies in their respective roles — manning the most important franchise positions — on Thursday night will lead a Jets franchise that hasn’t made the playoffs since 2010 in this year’s NFL draft.

General manager Darren Mougey and head coach Aaron Glenn are in their 13th week together working at 1 Jets Drive in Florham Park, N.J., and since they were hired in late January by owner Woody Johnson, they’ve been attached at the hip.

They’ll continue to be defined together as the latest regime in Johnson’s desperate and seemingly endless attempt to get this thing right for his bumbling franchise.

To date, the offseason that Glenn and Mougey have conducted has been a quiet one — very much by design.
