Giants’ No. 3 NFL draft pick presents Joe Schoen a delicate QB puzzle to navigate

Giants’ No. 3 NFL draft pick presents Joe Schoen a delicate QB puzzle to navigate

If the Giants were picking one spot lower in the NFL draft, the league consensus likely would be that Shedeur Sanders should pack for New York.

It’s only the rejectable idea of bypᴀssing a generational prospect at a premium position — edge rusher Abdul Carter or receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter — to take a sH๏τ on a much scrutinized quarterback that is adding a layer of mystery to the No. 3 pick.

The hope that Sanders could change the Giants’ fortunes the way Jayden Daniels did for Washington as a franchise quarterback could be enough to cast aside Mason Graham, Will Campbell, Ashton Jeanty or any other Best Player Available at No. 4. Except that …

“If you are comfortable picking a player at No. 4, you should be comfortable picking him at No. 3,” one NFL executive told The Post. “What the hell is the difference?”
